Since then he had got an impression of tourism and as he grew up and studied in Kathmandu, he began to understand the business and was enlightened in the perspective that there is much more than becoming simply a guide. He started building up an ambition in him.

As an ambitious man, Rajan started his professional career working in a hotel as front desk assistant. But his interest, vision and ambition led him to take trekking guide training and work as a trekking guide. He led many trips to different parts of Himalayas and after three years of working as a guide he started his own trekking company, Earthbound Expeditions. As a hard working man, he dedicated his time to bring his company to a high level service provider and eventually became successful in doing so. But this success didn’t come to him in a flash of magic wand. He went through a lot of hardships in the initial days. When asked Rajan what brought him in tourism he recalls that long ago while he was at the village of Darkha at foothills of Ganesh Himal mountain he saw many tourist going through his village to Ganesh Himal trek and thought at that time that may be he will become a trek guide or a business owner of some venture that is related to tourism. Because what tourist did that time was very interesting to curious young mind.
The reason Rajan want to stay in his country is that he want to be the part of the positive change in the society, today although many of Nepalese people looking their career abroad including his 15 cousins around the world he love his land so much he decided to stay in his own land creating opportunities to the youth and give hope.
