Come and enjoy  the sacred Buddhist Circuit Pilgrimage tour starting in Nepal, the birth place of Buddha, and finishing in Delhi, India after visiting all the major and significant sacred Buddhist places of Kushinagar, Patna, Bodhgaya, and Sarnath. The tour takes you with the historical visit to many Buddhist temple sites in Kathmandu valley and to other heritage sites. Then the tour goes to Pokhara for a nice break in the nature followed by visit to Lumbini, the sacred birth place of Buddha. Tour then goes to Kushinagar, Patna, Bodhgaya and to Sarnath where the major life events of Buddha can be observed. Visiting all four main sites where four main life event of Budhha occurred makes this tour a complete pilgrimage tour.

  • Day 01 : Arrival Day - Kathmandu, Nepal 1400 m

    You will be welcomed by our representative on your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Later, you will be transferred to your hotel. Check into the hotel, freshen up, relax a bit or you can explore the vicinity until we meet in the evening for the trip briefing. The time for the briefing will be informed to you once you arrive at hotel.

  • Day 02 : Kathmandu Exploration Day - B

    After breakfast in the morning we go for the Kathmandu sightseeing tour. We are going to do the UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE TOUR today which includes:

    Swoyambhunath - The oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley, a beautiful abode for lots of monkeys thus also known as Monkey Temple, is also a perfect vantage point to see Kathmandu valley.

    Pashupatinath - A holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Hindu Crematorium, watch as the Hindu dead bodies are cremated in the most unique way in the world; we come across men with ash rubbed body, matted locks and dreaded look which is typical look of a Hindu Holy Men known as Sadhus.

    Boudhanath - the biggest Buddhist temple in the world; a site for Tibetan Buddhism where we can visit monasteries, watch the Holy Monks busy in their chanting ritual going around the temple.

    Patan Durbar Square - A Medieval Royal Palace area which is also known as the city of fine arts, we can see the finest example of metal and stone carving back to 14th century and also the amazing Nepali Architecture.

  • Day 03 : Kathmandu - Pokhara 900 m - B

    Early morning breakfast and we check out the hotel to go to Pokhara. An about 6 hours drive by a private vehicle takes us to the amazingly beautiful city of Pokhara 200 km west of Kathmandu. The drive is very scenic which goes through the winding and stretching road along side the famous rafting river of Trishuli and later on Marsyangdi. The passing through some beautiful small Nepali towns will give you some glimpses of countryside of Nepal.

  • Day 04 : Pokhara Exploration Day - B

    We wake up early in the morning and drive to Sarangkot, a beautiful hill in Pokhara famous for Sunrise, for 35 minutes. A real Closed-up look of the Annapurna and Fishtail, and the unparalleled Sunrise from there makes a perfect start of our day. After Sunrise, we come back to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we go to hike up to World Peace Stupa, a nice hiking destination in Pokhara which will take us one hour to reach the top. It’s a beautiful viewpoint and a Buddhist Pilgrimage as well. Later we come down to visit Davis falls and cave and Tibetan Refugee Camp. We can choose to do some adventure activities like Paragliding, ultralight flight and Zip flyer as well with an extra cost.

  • Day 05 : Pokhara - Lumbini - 300 m - B/L/D

    Drive to Lumbini for about 7 hours enjoying a scenic mountain drive. The drive takes you through some spectacular topography ranging from mountainous to flat terrains.

  • Day 06 : Lumbini Exploration - B/L/D

    Explore Lumbini full day visiting Mayadevi temple, world peace flame, sacred garden, world peace stupa, monasteries and the vicinity. Learn more about the life and teachings of Buddha. Practice meditation in the high spiritual vibes of the birth place of Buddha.

  • Day 07 : Lumbini, Nepal – Kushinagar - India B

    Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to visit birth place of Lord Buddha, Ashoka pillar and Maya devi temple. Later drive to Kushinagar. On arrival at Kushinagar check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 08 : Kushinagar – Patna - B

    Breakfast at the hotel and proceed to visit Rambhar stupa and Mahaparinirvana temple. Afternoon drive to Patna via Vaishali. On arrival at Patna check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 09 : Patna – Bodhgaya - B

    Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival at Bodhgaya check-in at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya. The Mahabodhi Temple built on the east of the sacred tree stands majestically 17 feet high on a base 5 feet square, and consists of a soaring pyramidal tower surmounted by a stupa. The Vajrasana or Diamond Throne lying between the Bodhi Tree and the temple marks the actual spot where Buddha sat in meditation and attained supreme knowledge. A gilded Buddha smiles upon the visitors from a niche in the wall of the temple, and his footsteps carved in stone hold flower offerings from the devout. Unbelievable peace pervades the atmosphere giving credence to legend, besides the Mahabodhi temple, we would visit several Buddhist temples built by the followers of Buddhism from all over the world. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 10 : Bodhgaya – Varanasi - B

    Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 11 : Varanasi - B

    Morning boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later an excursion to Sarnath. It enjoys the extraordinary privilege of Lord Buddha delivering his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 2500 years ago. It is about 10 km from Varanasi and holds a number of Buddhist sites that include the famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy 'Buddha'. You can also visit the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandhakuti Temple, where Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath. The Ashoka Pillar built by the emperor Ashoka is a must see in Sarnath. The Lion Capital on top of this pillar is now the National Emblem of India and stands apart for its excellent artistry and carvings. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 12 : Varanasi – Delhi - B

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi.
    Upon arrival at Delhi meeting and assistance followed by transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 13 : Departure Day - to Home or Kathmandu B

    Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to international airport to connect flight for onward destination.
