Himchuli at 6441meters lies in the Annapurna range like the other two peaks known as Tharpu Chuli and Singu Chuli.
This is considered as a sacred mountain for the Gurung ethnic locals. This peak is one of the difficult peak climbs in Nepal and it can be climbed from southeast face and northwest face as well.
It is not so difficult technically but there is still danger of rocks falling.
An American Peace Crops Expedition team first ascended the peak in October 1971 via southeast face.
