We have our breakfast early in the morning and drive to the airport to take a flight to Lukla, the gateway to Everest Region accompanied by your trekking guide. We fly by a Twin Otter aircraft which is the most renowned mountain flight corporation in the world. Once on the flight we can enjoy the stunning beauty of the rugged foothills that give way to the snowline of the majestic Himalaya. A lot of the world\'s highest mountains including Kanchenjunga III, Lhotse IV and Makalu V and many other snow capped mountains. After enjoying the adventurous flight for about 45 minutes, we land in Lukla, an exceptionally beautiful mountain town in the Everest Region where we meet our porters and prepare for the walk of the day to Phakding, another mountain town. The descending walk leads us along the Dudh Koshi River and to Phakding village for the overnight stay.

DAY 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar

The early start of the trek of the day takes you on mostly flat and gradual uphill trail along the Dudh Koshi River up to Hilary suspension bridge. From this point your first steep uphill walk on the Everest trail starts which takes you to an extraordinarily beautiful town of Namche, famously known as Namche Bazaar. On the way to Namche you can enjoy the view of some the Himalayan peaks including Thamserku, Tabuche, Cholatsem, Khumbila – Sacred Mountain which protects the Khumbu region and many other mountains. Get yourself immersed in the beauty of local Sherpa and Buddhist culture, take pictures of yaks, take in the spirituality from the prayer flags along the trail and many more just reach the destination for today to enjoy the more majestic view of Kongde, Kusum Kangri and Thamserku.

DAY 5: Namche Bazaar – Everest View point – Namche Bazaar

A stopover day in Namche for acclimatization. Hike to Everest view point for about two hours uphill and enjoy the view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Amadablam and many other Himalayan peaks. Hike down to Namche and spend rest of the day exploring Namche Bazaar enjoying the local atmosphere.

DAY 6: Namche - Tyangboche

Munch mountain breakfast early in the morning and start the trek of the day to Tyangboche. Initial part of the walk today is on a mountain flat and downhill trails to Phungi Thanga for about four hours. From there another steep walk for about another two and half hours to take you to the famous Tyangboche. Once you are in Tyangboche, never miss the opportunity to visit an ancient Tyangboche monastery where you can see the footprint of Milarepa, a famous ancient Tibetan yogi and poet from the Kagyupa sect.

DAY 7: Tyangboche - Dingboche

Pave your trail through Diboche, crossing Imja Khola to Pangboche and to Dingboche – today’s destination. As you walk on the Nepali flat – sometimes up and sometimes down, enjoy the enchanting view of the snow capped mountains which is luring you even closer to the Everest. The view and the fresh mountain air is enough to make you forget about your tiredness. Engage yourself in the observation of the incredible beauty of the Himalayan atmostp here.

At this altitude, the human body needs time to adjust to the environment so take your day to acclimatize to the high altitude climate. Rather than just sitting around, we encourage you to attempt one of the two hikes we recommend. The short and best option is to ascend the hill immediately behind Dingboche which takes about four hours to reach the top. The view from the top will just blow your mind. Your four hours effort to reach the top will be eventually rewarded

DAY 9: Dingboche - Lobuche

Be thrilled with additional mountain views as you walk on your pace along the Himalayan trail. Enjoying and integrating the mountain atmosphere into your life, you are heading yet another count of miles towards the famous base camp of the world’s tallest peak. The view is just a catalyst to take you to the Base camp. Communicate and listen to your body and go slow. After observing the memorials for the mountaineers at Dughla pass finally you reach another beautiful mountain village of Lobuche for the overnight stay.

DAY 10: Lobuje – Gorak Shep 5160 m - Everest Base Camp 5365 m

Unforgettable Everest Base Camp Trek We just completed a 12-day trip to Everest Base Camp with Earthbound Expeditions. We have been on a number of trekking vacations, but this was by far the most amazing trip. The Himalayan mountain range was stunning and humbling. The Nepalese people, particularly those in the Khumbu region, were incredibly kind and hospitable. And of course, the food was delicious. We look forward to returning to Nepal again in the future and will definitely be using Earthbound Expeditions. Special thanks to the following individuals who made this a memorable, safe and joyful experience: (1) Rajan: Earthbound’s incredibly responsive and thoughtful leader. He patiently answered all of our questions about the trip prior to our arrival and accommodated many of our requests without question. He even picked us up at the airport and met with us again the day we came back from Base Camp. (2) Kumar: our Kathmandu city guide who shared his knowledge of Nepal’s rich history and culture by taking us to some World Heritage sites in Kathmandu. (3) Raju: our wonderful Kathmandu driver who ferried us safely back and forth to various destinations in Kathmandu and joined us our final night for a Nepalese cultural show. (4) Tiger: our wonderful porter who was never without a smile. He was kind and funny and always made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable on our trek. He was with us every step of the way and thoughtfully checked in to see if we were tired along the way. (5) Shreeram: last, but not least, our fearless guide. Shree was incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. He answered our many questions about food safety, high altitude sickness and hot showers with good humor and patience. He made sure we were hiking at a good pace to allow for altitude adjustment and shared his love of dal bhat with us. Most importantly, he instilled in us a deep appreciation for Nepal’s beauty, diversity and resilience.

Unforgettable EBC trek Nepal My fiancé and I completed the EBC trek with Earthbound Expeditions using Helicopter also and have nothing but extraordinary things to say about the whole experience! For months leading up to our departure, Rajan answered all of our many inquiries and made sure we were all set for a life changing journey. Once in Kathmandu, we met our wonderful guide Gopal! We truly felt in the best of hands with Gopal who so generously shared the amazing Nepali culture with us throughout our trek. He ensured we were always comfortable, ate enough, rested enough and walked slowly to ensure we make it all the way to EBC. We cannot thank him enough for helping us achieve one of our dreams. And a big thank you to our porter Kancha! We truly had a dream team!! Looking forward to returning to this incredible country for another trek with Earthbound!!

Really happy.. “This company Earthbound is amazing, we arranged to go to Everest base camp through them. They were so professional and organised the whole trip, they looked after us at each stage even after when we planned to go to Pokhara for a sort break after our Everest trek. They arranged flights to hotel accomodation, transport so we didn't have to worry about it. Nothing was a big thing for them. Thank you to Rajan, Badri and all the team for making our dream come true. I would definitely be going back to Annpurna and would go through them to arrange everything for me. Giving you 5*s.. All the best..” from UK.

Everest Base Camp Nepal Heli Trek 12 Days... My life dream was to climb Mountain Everest after climbing Kilimanjaro mountain in Africa. The dream I had for many years became true when I landed at Kathmandu Airport and meet beautiful people from Earthbound Expeditions. The trek itself was very wonderful and organized professionally, great Sherpas, great mountain scenery and great value. It was an everlasting memory provided by this great team for more than two weeks in the great Everest mountain. I recommend this team of Rajan for their great help during my trip to Everest and valuable information they provided to us which contributed a lot to the success of our trek to Everest. For sure I'll come back to climb this Mountain with my family and grand kids when they grow well and we will climb another trek again with Earthbound Expeditions. Thanks and highly recommended.
