Rajan with Earthbound Expeditions organized an incredible and flawless 12 day trip to Nepal and Bhutan. We visited holy sites in both countries, toured Monkey Temple, hiked to the Tiger’s Nest in Bhutan and toured the monastery, stayed at Nagarkot and enjoyed stunning sunrise views of the Himalayas, and visited the Chitwan Jungle to participate in activities such as canoeing, jungle hikes, face to face encounters with elephants at the elephant breeding center, and a jungle safari. We saw rhinos, elephants, crocodiles, and exotic birds on the safari. When Mt. Everest didn’t present itself on the flights to and from Bhutan, Rajan scheduled a Mt. Everest flight on our last day. The views of Everest on the flight were awe inspiring. The stewardess allowed each passenger two opportunities to see the views of Earth’s tallest mountain from the cockpit. Every guide assigned to our private tours were professional and knowledgeable, sharing historical information and answering all our questions. In addition, at our request, Rajan kindly coordinated two visits to Nepal schools so we could visit the children and make donations.
The people of Nepal and Bhutan are the kindest, most peaceful people on Earth. Never did we feel unsafe or in danger.
Thamel Eco Resort was our home base. This hotel displayed outstanding customer service and provided excellent meals, helpful porters who took luggage to our room, safe food/water handling, visits from Rajan checking in on our satisfaction, courteous employees who helped us navigate the streets of Kathmandu, and an overall friendly atmosphere. Nabin, our porter and street navigator, is a wonderful, kind hearted gentleman who always looked out for our safety and well being. We were beyond pleased with Earthbound Expeditions coordinating our trip and every need we had. I highly recommend Earthbound Expeditions to anyone looking for an adventure and trip of a lifetime.
