Overview

As Buddha was born in Nepal, Buddhism is very popular religion in Nepal, north India, Tibet and Bhutan. Hinduism and Buddhism exist together in Nepal maintaining a good harmony. Religion is not just a set of beliefs and accompanying rituals handed down from generation to generation rather it is a complex intermingling of traditions, festivals, faiths and doctrines that have permeated every strata of Nepalese Society in such a way as to become the very heartbeat of the nation.

Our Buddhist pilgrimage tour lets you eyewitness the religious tolerance and harmony found among religions in Nepal which is a very unique example to the world.

This Buddhist pilgrimage tour of 7 days only include highlighted site in Nepal like Namobuddha, Boudhanath and birth place of Buddha Lumbini . You will have possibilities of extending it to Sarnath – where Buddha gave his first teaching, to Boudhgaya where Buddha was enlightened and Kushinagar where Buddha breathed the last on this world. You can fly in or out of Delhi also.

We can also combine the tour with Yoga, meditation, Ayurveda treatment or even the Spa.

After breakfast in hotel. Full day sightseeing of Kapilbastu - Buddhist temples, monastery and religious activities. Overnight in hotel at Lumbini. Visit Maya Devi Temple - Lumbini remained neglected for centuries. In 1895, Feuhrer, a famous German archaeologist, discovered the great pillar, further exploration and excavation of the surrounding area revealed the existence of a brick temple and a sandstone sculpture within the temple itself which represents the scenes of Buddha’s birth. On the south of the Maya Devi temple there is the famous sacred bathing pool known as Puskarni. It is believed that Maha Devi took a bath in this pool before the delivery. The temple is built gradually and is composed of many temples, one after the other. It is also found that there is possibility that a Ashoka Stupa existed in the place of temple.

Thanks Rajan for organising the Nepal Trip for us. Since the strong recommendations about this company on the web, and the fast response from Rajan, we finally chose to have the Nepal Trip with Earthbound. We went Kathmandu, Chitwan, Lumbini, Pokahra, and Jomsom in this trip. I highly recommend others to join Earthbound like us. It is because we went Jomsom, and the flight was cancelled for 2 days due to weather condition. If we didnt join the tour, we have to do a lot of follow-up work once there is any delay/ cancellation. But now, Rajan and team really help us a lot. :)

Lumbini Buddha Garden

Lumbini Buddha Garden

Lumbini Buddha Garden is a quiet and tranquil Resort close to the birthplace of Lord Buddha, at Lumbini in south-central Nepal. The garden boasts a private haven of tranquillity surrounding the resort, in a sense a spiritual ‘buffer zone’ from the outside world for visiting tourists. Visitors to the garden find an environment where they can meditate and relax in peace, as well as learning about Buddhism should they wish to do so. The Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort is set in a natural environment so that, during a stay, our guests feel that they are living in true harmony with nature. The Garden is close to the original Lumbini Grove and will act as a complement to the latter.
