Overview

A JOURNEY TO THE BUDDHIST MONASTERIES AND HIMALAYAS

In our Sikkim Darjeeling tour with Bhutan exploration, you will witness the century-old Buddhist monasteries, walk the mountain cliffs and hike the rice paddies stair-steps down the steep hillsides. Your eastern Himalayan journey begins with the arrival and transfer to Darjeeling where we include a ride on the narrow gauge mountain railways and witness the sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill.

Visit the capital of Sikkim, Gangtok and passing on to Rumtek visit the Karmapa’s Monastery. Travel to Kalimpong which was once an important trading post for these parts of the land. From Kalimpong, our road then descends into the plains known as duars which are filled with the lush tea garden.

Eventually, we will cross into Phuntsholing, Bhutan and discover Bhutan’s captivating cultural mix, reflected in its beautiful shrines, temples, and handicrafts as you travel from south to western Bhutan; within the towns and villages of Paro, Thimphu and Punakha valley. Explore the Dzongs, ancient fortresses that once protected the kingdom of Bhutan.

Two of these powerfully mystical places in the Eastern Himalaya will continuously keep overwhelming you with the charming charisma of natural beauty. Getting completely into the Himalayan beauty will bring you a placid mind to make you feel refreshed and energized. So come and join the adventure of a lifetime in our Sikkim Darjeeling and Bhutan tour.
