Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu upon your arrival. As soon as you come out of the airport after immigration process, you will see our representative holding Earthbound Expeditions sign board or your name printed placard. You will then be transferred to hotel and checked in. A briefing of the trip will follow the same day of your arrival or the next day, depending upon your arrival time. We will let you know the time of the briefing.

DAY 2: Kathmandu Exploration Day

After breakfast in the morning we go for the Kathmandu sightseeing tour. We are going to do the UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE TOUR today which includes: Swoyambhunath - The oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley, a beautiful abode for lots of monkeys thus also known as Monkey Temple, is also a perfect vantage point to see Kathmandu valley. Pashupatinath- A holy pilgrimage for Hindus and Hindu Crematorium, watch as the Hindu dead bodies are cremated in the most unique way in the world; we come across men with ash rubbed body, matted locks and dreaded look which is typical look of a Hindu Holy Men known as Sadhus. Boudhanath- the biggest Buddhist temple in the world; a site for Tibetan Buddhism where we can visit monasteries, watch the Holy Monks busy in their chanting ritual going around the temple. Patan Durbar Square- A Medieval Royal Palace area which is also known as the city of fine arts, we can see the finest example of metal and stone carving back to 14th century and also the amazing Nepali Architecture.

DAY 3: Festival Day

Today is the highlight of this trip. Get ready to play with multiple array of hues in the local streets with locals. Smear and splash colors on each other wishing them \"Happy Holi\" and walk around observing the celebration of the festival of colors. Encounter with some gigs happening in main square of the city. Immerse completely into this great cultural celebration. By the time you return back to hotel, you have to double check yourself in the mirror to confirm if that is real you!

DAY 4: Hiking Day

Wake up early in the morning and drive about 1.5 hours to Nagarkot to watch spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas. Take breakfast enjoying the Himalayan view. Get ready to start the hike of the day. An about 3 hours downhill hiking will take you to the beautiful Yoga Retreat located in the serene foothills. Nepal Yoga Retreat

DAY 5: Yoga Retreat Day
