Terms and conditions

All trip prices are per person, sharing a twin room. A single room costs extra unless the trip says it is included, or unless you are placed in a single room on a group departure because there is no one to share with. This does not apply to private trips.

Published prices can change, for example when services are added, an itinerary or hotel is changed, a trip is run privately or at a higher standard, or when fuel prices, park and monument entry fees, visa or permit fees, or government tourism rules change. Please read the trip details carefully, and ask us about anything that is unclear before you book.

To book a trip, a deposit of 30% of the trip price per person is due to Earthbound Expeditions Nepal, the tour operator. The deposit is not refundable, but it can be transferred to a friend or family member, or used towards another trip within 3 years.

The rest of the trip price is due when you arrive. If you book 90 days or less before departure, full payment is due on arrival.

• 90 days or more before departure: we keep the 30% deposit and refund the rest of what you have paid. The deposit can still be transferred or used within 3 years.
• 60 to 89 days before departure: we refund 50% of the trip price.
• Less than 60 days before departure: no refund.
• In an emergency, or for another good reason, we will consider holding your deposit longer, postponing the trip, or transferring it to a friend or family member.

You must have travel insurance that covers trekking at the altitudes of your trip, medical treatment and helicopter evacuation. We recommend it also covers cancellation, delays and lost baggage.

Earthbound Expeditions may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect once they are posted on this website or sent to you by email. You are deemed to accept the terms in force when you travel, so please read them again before your trip. We will send you a copy on request.
