Annapurna Region

 

In Nepal the Annapurna region is one of the most famous trekking area after Mt.Everest region. Pokhara one of the most beautiful lake city of in the world is where many of Annapurna trek starts and ends. We can do Lodge to lodge Annapurna trek these days and those hut to hut treks are very comfortable stay, beautiful views, delicious foods and friendly people. Annapurna in ancient Sanskrit means goddess of plenty ( or full of crops), Annapurna region have many short and long treks also many small or giant peaks to Climb if you are interested to have climbing experinece in Nepal. 

 

The short trek around Pokhara like Poon hill trek or Khopra Danda trek, or Mardi Himal trek, Annapurna base camp trek or Jomsom trail, upper Mustang trek or the world famous Annaurpna circuit trek all are in Annapurna region of mid western Himalayan range of Nepal. 

While hiking in Annapurna trails visit ancient Monasteries with colorful prayer flags cling to sheer cliffs where Buddhist monks chant evocative mantras, half-hypnotized by the aromatic incense of juniper. Himalayan Goat ( Thar ) and Snow Leopard guard the upper ramparts where an astonishing array of vegetation hides numerous birds. The Annapurna circuit is voted as one of the best trekking trails in the world for many years.
