This Jomsom biking trip will be like nothing you’ve ever likely to have done before. This rare opportunity allows you to say, that you “Mountain biked” in the heart of the Annapurna Ranges deep in the Himalayas over a total of 10 or 18- days as there is the choice of completing a full of half the circuit of the Annapurna for biking which is one of the best downhill rides in the world in lower Mustang region.
Earthbound Expeditions’ team will fly you in from Pokhara or directly to Jomsom at 2970meters (for the half- circuit) and you ride to the edge of the Thorung La pass, at about 3800meters.
Over the next 8 days we will take you to the holy lakes, razor ridge top trails and single trail descents over 100’s of meters, heart pumping climbs through mystic Mustang border villages and ultimately descend through the jaws of the deepest canyon in the world.
Finally, you will get a couple of days to rest in Pokhara lazing around Phewa Lake before heading to Kathmandu or Chitwan national park, Lumbini the birthplace of Buddha or small town Bandipur.

You will be greeted on your arrival by one of our representatives at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Next on, you will be transported to your hotel, check into the hotel and spend some relaxing time until we meet again in the evening for the ‘Jomsom Trail Biking’ adventure briefing. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Today, we will have a full day sight-seeing a tour in the Kathmandu valley. You will visit some of the most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites including a holy pilgrimage for Hindus ‘the Pashupatinath Temple,’ The oldest Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu Valley ‘Swoyambhunath’ which is a beautiful dwelling for lots of monkeys thus also known as Monkey Temple,’ the biggest Buddhist temple in the world and a site for Tibetan Buddhism ‘Boudhanath,’ and lastly a Medieval Royal Palace square which is also known as the city of fine arts ‘The Patan Durbar Square.’ After exploring these remarkable places, we get back to the hotel and prepare for the coming adventurous voyage. Today after breakfast in Kathmandu, we head towards the beautiful Himalayas of Nepal. We take a long scenic drive 200 km west of Kathmandu by tourist coach, or you have an option to fly at about USD 124 extra cost. Pokhara, popularly recognized as the gateway to beautiful Annapurna circuit, is a famous sightseeing point for travelers with stunning lake and mountain ranges. Amongst the most beautiful lake cities in the world, many of the ten highest mountains can be sighted from Pokhara. The most beautiful sightseeing places in Pokhara are temples, lakes, caves, museums and more. Overnight at Pokhara.
We take an early morning short flight of about 25 minutes to Jomsom from Pokhara. Hold your breath, as you will be astounded with the magnificent Himalayan ranges of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and several snow-capped peaks while flying high in the Himalayas. After landing at Jomsom, we prepare for the exciting bike ride towards the beautiful Kagbeni. The trail upward might be strenuous, but cycling along the Kali Gandaki River will be an awesome ride. Taking a smooth ride for the day, we stop for the night at Kagbeni.
We start the day with an early breakfast and ride uphill through the dry and rigid region with awe-inspiring sceneries of the Himalayas. The ride eventually takes us to Jhong village where we stop for lunch and explore the beautiful monastery. The ride after the Jhong is short which brings us to one of the most spiritual places of Nepal, Muktinath at an elevation of 3,710 meters. We explore the holy Muktinath Temple, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists and the major highlight of the region including several other attractions. Overnight at Muktinath.
From Muktinath, today we ride the downhill trail all the way to Tukuche descending alongside the beautiful Kali Gandaki River. Even though it’s going to be a long day, the path will make the easier today but the winding weather of the day might make the ride more challenging. We pass ride through Muktinath Pass, Lupra, Eklebhatti, Jomsom and Marpha with a memorable adventure and stop at Tukuche village, an ancient Thakali tribe hamlet. The beauty of the sceneries on the way down is inexpressible. Overnight at Tukuche.
Today, we again ride downhill to Tatopani cycling alongsod=ide the Thak Khola valley. Relishing the beautiful views of the Himalayas and waterfall Rupse Chhahara, we ride about five hours before the trail finally leads us to Tatopani where the miraculous natural hot spring will be waiting for the surprising treat. We will take a soothing bath at natural hot springs and rest for the night at Tatopani.
After breakfast at Tatopani, we start the day following the Kali Gandaki River and its valley all the way to Beni where we stop for lunch. The dirt trails today make the ride exciting. From Beni, we will be picked by a vehicle to drive us back to the beautiful city Pokhara. Today will be the last day of biking in the thrilling trails of Jomsom. Upon our arrival at Pokhara, we check in to the hotel and spend the day resting and relaxing and stroll around the Lakeside in the evening, Overnight at Pokhara.
After breakfast in Pokhara, we wave goodbye to the beautiful city of Pokhara and the phenomenal mountains. We get on a long scenic drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Today is the free day for you to do whatever you want to do before you head back to your home. You can go shopping or for exploration of the city. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at one of the finest cultural restaurants and enjoy a cultural show. We talk and share our experiences about the Jomsom Trail Biking.
