The descending walk leads us along the Dudh Koshi River and to Phakding village for the overnight stay.

Unforgettable dream trek to Everest Base Camp thanks to Earthbound! Outstanding & highly recommended company for trekking and sightseeing in Nepal! Earthbound run brilliantly by Rajan ji planned and executed our Everest Base Camp to perfection! The awesome service is rendered with a smile at any hour of the day. Starting with the driver Raju ji who meets you like a long lost brother to the peerless mountain guide Shree Ram ji and to the untiring sherpas Sumanth ji and Kumar ji we are in capable and caring hands all thru this journey. We did the 9-day EBC trek and flew back using helicopter from Gorakhshep. We stayed at the luxurious Ramada in Thamel. Easily one of the best hotels with great rooms and sumptuous breakfast with unbelievable variety. Exceptional service by the crew there led by Sanju ji. The pace of the hike was manageable and we rested in beautiful tea houses. They were spacious, clean, well stocked and had great food. Earthbound managed to get us rooms with attached bathrooms for 6 out of 8 nights!! We even got heated electric blankets in Debuche!! Shree Ram ji and Sumanth ji helped us at every step and even got us medicines for cold. The flight to Lukla and helicopter ride back were well organized and comfortable. They even arranged for my wife to fly into Kala Patthar and pick me up from Gorakhshep! We had 4 trekkers in our group. We also had a parallel Nepal tour for my wife and her sister which we will review separately. Even in Kathmandu our Earthbound hosts took us to Pashupati Nath, Swayambhu Nath and Boudh Nath before the trek and to a traditional Nepali dinner and cultural to celebrate our successful EBC trek. I'm indebted to Rajan ji and Earthbound crew for this unforgettable Nepal experience. They are now like family to us. I would highly recommend Earthbound for _any_ Nepal trip or trek. This is my second trip with Earthbound. I did Annapurna base camp trek with them last year!

Everest Base Camp Trek My husband and I just returned from Nepal where we did the 12-day Everest Base Camp Heli Trek with Earthbound Expeditions. Everything was perfect! Rajan was extremely helpful, friendly and responsive to all of our inquiries when booking the trip and extremely welcoming and accommodating once we arrived in Kathmandu. Our guide Namaraj and our porter Abas were absolutely fantastic. Namaraj was an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide who clearly loves his country. He shared so much about the culture, the natural beauty and the people of Nepal which made our trek so special. He was also incredibly connected in the trekking community which was so helpful when we were making our way back to Kathmandu via helicopter along with hundreds of other trekkers. I highly recommend his services along with those of Earthbound Expeditions. We hope to return one day to explore other parts of this amazing country.

Unforgettable Everest Base Camp Trek, We just completed a 12-day trip to Everest Base Camp with Earthbound Expeditions. We have been on a number of trekking vacations, but this was by far the most amazing trip. The Himalayan mountain range was stunning and humbling. The Nepalese people, particularly those in the Khumbu region, were incredibly kind and hospitable. And of course, the food was delicious. We look forward to returning to Nepal again in the future and will definitely be using Earthbound Expeditions. Special thanks to the following individuals who made this a memorable, safe and joyful experience: (1) Rajan: Earthbound’s incredibly responsive and thoughtful leader. He patiently answered all of our questions about the trip prior to our arrival and accommodated many of our requests without question. He even picked us up at the airport and met with us again the day we came back from Base Camp. (2) Kumar: our Kathmandu city guide who shared his knowledge of Nepal’s rich history and culture by taking us to some World Heritage sites in Kathmandu. (3) Raju: our wonderful Kathmandu driver who ferried us safely back and forth to various destinations in Kathmandu and joined us our final night for a Nepalese cultural show. (4) Tiger: our wonderful porter who was never without a smile. He was kind and funny and always made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable on our trek. He was with us every step of the way and thoughtfully checked in to see if we were tired along the way. (5) Shreeram: last, but not least, our fearless guide. Shree was incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. He answered our many questions about food safety, high altitude sickness and hot showers with good humor and patience. He made sure we were hiking at a good pace to allow for altitude adjustment and shared his love of dal bhat with us. Most importantly, he instilled in us a deep appreciation for Nepal’s beauty, diversity and resilience.

12-Day Heli Trek to Everest Base Camp We completed the 12-Day Heli Trek to Everest Base Camp. Earthbound Expeditions made sure we were well prepared for our journey ahead, providing us with the best possible accommodations along the way. Our experience in Kathmandu, learning about the Hindu and Buddhist Cultures was remarkable. The trek to Everest Base Camp was truly about the journey, the relationships we built along the way, not to mention the relief and excitement we felt taking the helicopter back down the mountain. I can't wait to take another trip with Earthbound Expeditions, hopefully making my first ice climb to above 6,000 meters. Thank you to Shree, Abishek, Jiban, and Don for all of your help, expertise, and friendship along the way; I hope to see you again soon!

Unforgettable EBC trek Nepal My fiancé and I completed the EBC trek with Earthbound Expeditions using Helicopter also and have nothing but extraordinary things to say about the whole experience! For months leading up to our departure, Rajan answered all of our many inquiries and made sure we were all set for a life changing journey. Once in Kathmandu, we met our wonderful guide Gopal! We truly felt in the best of hands with Gopal who so generously shared the amazing Nepali culture with us throughout our trek. He ensured we were always comfortable, ate enough, rested enough and walked slowly to ensure we make it all the way to EBC. We cannot thank him enough for helping us achieve one of our dreams. And a big thank you to our porter Kancha! We truly had a dream team!! Looking forward to returning to this incredible country for another trek with Earthbound!!

A most excellent Everest Base Camp trek with Earthbound Expeditions! I am a repeat customer and booked the classic Everest Base Camp trek through Earthbound Expeditions. I completed the EBC trek during late September and early October 2023. Every aspect of the trek occurred with zero issues from Earthbound Expeditions. Firstly, I must start my review by highlighting the values of Earthbound Expeditions’ people. One, I am impressed and won over by their honesty and integrity. I wired money for the trek in May 2022 but personal issues prevented the trek that year. Earthbound Expeditions received and safeguarded my funds until I could do the trek in 2023. Many people are leery about wiring money overseas. Please know that your money is safe with Earthbound Expeditions. Two, Earthbound Expeditions’ level of communication prior to the trek is excellent. I booked a trek with Earthbound in 2015 and was won over with the thorough and excellent communications. Nothing has changed in this regard. Third, the quality of the trek was first rate. It started immediately at pickup at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and located in an area with ample restaurant choices. My guide, Amrit, had much experience in the Everest region. His knowledge contributed greatly to the quality of the trek. He explained village life in the Himalayas and highlighted things of interest about the culture. He understood the weather patterns of the mountains. The most impressive aspect of Amrit was his level of professionalism regarding telling me what I should and should not do. My health and well-being were Amrit's responsibility, and he did an excellent job. I listened to his advice and easily dealt with my body's acclimatization process. And I never got sick and arrived Everest Base Camp as planned. They offer a high level of quality for a reasonable price. And they offer flexibility not many other outfitters offer. I am returning to Nepal and will book with Earthbound Expeditions again!

Really happy.. “This company Earthbound is amazing, we arranged to go to Everest base camp through them. They were so professional and organised the whole trip, they looked after us at each stage even after when we planned to go to Pokhara for a sort break after our Everest trek. They arranged flights to hotel accomodation, transport so we didn't have to worry about it. Nothing was a big thing for them. Thank you to Rajan, Badri and all the team for making our dream come true. I would definitely be going back to Annpurna and would go through them to arrange everything for me. Giving you 5*s.. All the best..” from UK.

Everest Base Camp Nepal Heli Trek 12 Days... My life dream was to reach Mountain Everest after climbing Kilimanjaro mountain in Africa. The dream I had for many years became true when I landed at Kathmandu Airport and meet beautiful people from Earthbound Expeditions. The trek itself was very wonderful and organized professionally, great Sherpas, great mountain scenery and great value. It was an everlasting memory provided by this great team for more than two weeks in the great Everest mountain. I recommend this team of Rajan for their great help during my trip to Everest and valuable information they provided to us which contributed a lot to the success of our trek to Everest. For sure I'll come back to climb this Mountain with my family and grand kids when they grow well and we will climb another trek again with Earthbound Expeditions. Thanks and highly recommended.

Arjun, Gokul and Rajan were our guides and went beyond any of our expectations. With expertise, knowledge and humor, they showed us the best of Nepali culture. We have much to learn from you. The treks were excellent and well planned for our large group. I also recommend the Helicopter trips to Everest Base Camp area.

Everest base camp with a 12 year old My 12 year old son and I did the Everest base camp trek and Chitwan safari October 2019. To make things even more difficult, my son had snapped both bones in his arm in half just below the wrist 3 weeks before we started trekking. Rajan was absolutely amazing from planning the trek to making accommodations for us while we were in Nepal. He always responded in a timely fashion. We went for a month, and told Rajan everything we wanted to do and the next day I had a full month itinerary planned out. When I suggested a few changes, Rajan made them without hesitation. Our guide Bharat was very knowledgeable about everything in the Everest region and took great care of us and our needs. He kept a watchful eye on us and adjusted our schedule everyday based on our performance/health. We went by ourselves instead of a large group which was the best choice for us. There were many things we wanted to stop and do/see along the way and Bharat helped facilitate all of it, something we couldn't do in a group. After comparing prices, going solo with Earthbound was MUCH cheaper than most other companies where you have to go in large groups. And after seeing and talking to many of these groups, we also realized we had FAR superior service than any of the other groups. If you're planning on doing any activities of any kind in Nepal and want some direction, you HAVE to go with Earthbound. You won't regret it.
