Solo “Taste of Nepal” trip

I have just returned from a two and a half week solo trip to Nepal completely organised by Earthbound Expeditions and it was incredible. After contacting Earthbound Expeditions expressing my interest for a trip, they came back to me within a day with a full schedule for the time I was available. Rajan was incredible at answering any questions very quickly and I felt completely at ease travelling to Nepal as a solo female. After arriving in Pokhara, I was introduced to my guide, Namaraj, who I couldn’t recommend enough. He is a very knowledgeable and kind tour guide who welcomed me into the Nepalese culture and became a good friend to me. In Pokhara, I was able to visit many temples, go paragliding and even drive to complete the second highest bungee jump in the world. Namaraj was very flexible to any changes in the original plan I wanted to make. For example, I was able to go on a three day trek to Poon Hill that was organised a day before leaving. During my time in Pokhara, I stayed at the Batika Hotel which was an amazing hotel with modern, clean and safe rooms and excellent service. After around 10 days in Pokhara, I took the bus to Kathmandu via the River Fun Resort where I stayed one night and was able to participate in white water rafting. Again, the staff at the resort were fantastic in helping with anything needed. When I arrived in Kathmandu, Namaraj and Rajan were both there to greet me. Yet again, flexibility to the plan was shown when I asked to visit the Monkey Temple that afternoon and we left to go within half an hour. Namaraj was very patient with me by answering all and any questions I had about the temples and the religious cultures.my time in Kathmandu was packed with lots of sightseeing and during my time there, I was staying at the Thamel Eco Resort. The Resort was very welcoming, with a beautiful garden where I sat to have breakfast and amazing staff who could not do enough for me. I was lucky enough to be given a private cooking class to make momos by the chef at the resort (although I fear I will never be able to make them as well as he was able to!). Overall, I could not recommend Earthbound Expeditions enough. Rajan was always on the end of the phone if I had an questions and Namaraj, my tour guide, was better than I could have imagined. The entire trip, there was always someone waiting for me and it was unbelievably organised. I never felt unsafe or confused about what I was doing next. It was the trip of a lifetime and I have fallen in love with the country. I will definitely be returning and hopefully bringing friends and family along with me!
