Wonderful Nepal Tour
Our family of 5 just returned from Nepal and touring with Rajan and Earthbound. Our trip experience was wonderful and as we review the exciting pictures, we marvel at the sights that are Nepal. All our guides, hotels, and arrangements were in excess of our expectations. We were greatly surprised by the quality of the tea houses. Rajan always made perfect arrangements for our group and our guide Gopal was very friendly, knowledgable, and knew the locals providing us with the best experiences. We highly recommend Earthbound and their great staff.

What an extraordinary experience!!! Better than I was expecting
Going to Nepal, it turned out to be such an overwhelming experience. The best was definitely the 10 day tour I did. Earthbound expeditions really made my trip much easier. Getting the opportunity to explore Katmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and doing a three day trekking, in Gurung villages was everything I was looking for!!! Earthbound Expeditons have got a variety of different itineraries, easily adaptable to the needs of each traveller. Everyone in this company have been always so professional and flexible, always towards my choices and interests. All the staff are unbelievable well-trained, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Unable to describe how fantastic these people are and how beautifully they work together. I have to thank, particularly, to Karan who was tireless in helping me to plan my trip (since the first time I mentioned to him that I was traveling to Nepal). Always taking in consideration my wills, showing me plenty of different options. I had a wonderful guide, Amrit, during my trekking experience. He was taking very good care of me especially when I was feeling that my body was a leak of energy and couldn’t walk more (not even in flat land). Mr Rajan was very attentive and polite. Always looking to know if I was enjoying my trip. I am planning already my next trip to Nepal and 100% I’ll be doing other activities with this extraordinary and incredible company. So highly recommended!!!

Earthbound Expeditions is the perfect way to tour Nepal ... I recently visited Nepal with Rajan who owns the tour company Earthbound Expeditions based in Katmandu Nepal and I’m here to say WOW! Rajan and his tour company lived up to every single hope, dream and expectation.. AND MORE! We were all met at the airport with friendly happy drivers (helpful in the busy unfamiliar terrain of the KTM airport!) .. furthermore.. we were all gifted with beautiful marigold necklaces! Such a lovely touch! (& when I say “all” I mean 11 different people all coming in at different times of day and middle of the night scattered over 2 days!) Our journey was to take us from Katmandu, then to Pokhara, then to Chitwan and finally back to Katmandu. We stayed in a total of 4 hotels.. all absolutely wonderful.. so comfortable, staffed with fantastic people, serving delicious breakfasts each day and all with unique “local” touches specific to the area (none were “chain” hotels either.. all were local Nepali!) Rajan hand chose them all for us.. and I cant be more happy with his selections! Given the logistics of moving 11 people plus a guide all over Nepal necessitated comfortable transportation and drivers.. all of which was seamlessly accomplished.. our drivers were happy souls who took excellent care and concern with our safety and comfort.. we used smaller vans in the city (logistically much easier!) and a larger bus to carry us into the countryside. Water was provided along the way and regular restroom stops were made to ensure the comfort of all.. Rajan was on the scene to greet us when we arrived, get us settled in and helped to begin our journey with information about the culture, the area, the food, and so much more that makes Nepal so special! .. The next day we were graciously handed over to one of his excellent guides, Kumar, who took us all through the famous sites in Katmandu.. providing a wealth of knowledge and some jokes along the way! Kumar even went out of his way to resolve a problem that I had with one of the beautiful “singing bowls” I had purchased.. I am very grateful for his help! The remainder of our trip was spent under the fantastic leadership of our guide Arjun.. Rajan clearly hit the jackpot when he selected Arjun to join his ranks of guides.. for we were so well taken care of it was like being on vacation with our brother and best friend! Arjun made sure that every question was answered, every need met, going above and beyond multiple times (to include helping me properly adjust my hiking stick length, staying with me when I was slower than the group on the steeper parts and also carrying my heavy luggage across a suspension bridge! *note.. all I needed was a backpack with a change of clothes! I’ll know better next time!) .. all this while sharing an incredible wealth of information about the surrounding areas, both the Buddhist and Hindu religions, while simultaneously guiding us expertly up hiking trails and through village streets! Arjun’s ready smile, and peaceful, confident leadership was much appreciated by everyone within our group and I suspect by all who he has ever and will ever guide! Our trip took us driving through the Nepali countryside, as well as on two 20 minute intra-country flights.. all were arranged seamlessly by Rajan.. leaving all of us travelers to just show up for our transport to and from.. no worries.. no fuss.. no hassle.. it was all soooo easy! Early on in the trip, I had the great good fortune to participate in a cooking class taught by Rajan’s wife.. held in their home.. using the recipes and ingredients she uses to cook for her own family.. it was truly a memorable, very special and VERY DELICIOUS experience! J All too soon… our time in Nepal drew to a close.. Arrival back to Katmandu found us all being treated to a farewell dinner at a local restaurant complete with a cultural show plus little gifts from Rajan and his family.. I/we were all so grateful for this unexpected and much welcomed treat! What a wonderful end to a spectacular journey! My experience with Rajan and everyone he employs as part of Earthbound Expeditions is that it is one of the very best I’ve ever had in the travel industry! His customers are treated like family and every need is met with care and the best solution. I HIGHLY recommend his tour company to anyone and everyone with interest to travel within Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and India (as he offers tours in all those places!) Please see my reviews as well for “Himanshu Homestay” (Anshu’s cooking class), Akama Hotel (our lodging in Katmandu), Bar Peepal (lodging in Pokhara), and Jungle Villa resort (lodging in Chitwan)..
