Sri Lanka 50 + Adventure Tour Overview

Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, is one of the most scenic countries in the world. It is known for its tropical jungles, tea gardens, elephant orphanage, beaches and many festivals.

Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, is one of the most scenic countries in the world. It is known for its tropical jungles, tea gardens, elephant orphanage, beaches and full calendar of festivals. With its pilgrimage sites, sacred Buddhist temples, busy cities and mountainous jungle landscapes, Sri Lanka is becoming an increasingly popular destination.

Sri Lanka is a Buddhist country with many ancient Buddhist sites, including Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Panduwasnuwara and Yapahuwa. These places contain the remains of a civilisation that developed over centuries under the influence of Buddhism, which is still preserved in Sri Lanka in its original form.

This ten-day guided tour introduces you to the culture of Sri Lanka. You spend nine nights in highly rated accommodation as you travel through the country. A buffet breakfast is served daily, and you spend your days visiting ancient sites and natural landscapes. On arrival in Colombo, an experienced English-speaking guide meets you and transfers you to your hotel. You travel in an air-conditioned luxury van.

You go on a jeep safari in Yala National Park, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to watch the elephants being fed and bathed, and take an elephant ride in Habarana. You see UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the Dambulla Cave Temple and Galle Fort, attend a cultural show in Kandy and see the waterfalls of Nuwara Eliya. All national park and sightseeing entrance fees are included, along with many other visits, on this award-winning tour.

Many travellers finish this tour wishing they could stay longer in Sri Lanka, as the country has a great deal to offer in culture and nature.

We invite you to join this tour of Sri Lanka.

You can combine this Sri Lanka tour with Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan or India, and travel to two or three countries in one trip. Write to us with what you would like to do and we will be happy to help.

Annapurna Range is amazing

April 2019, Tripadvisor

Had an amazing time trekking with Earthbound Expeditions in Nepal. The team is very professional and ensured our trekking experience in the Annapurna Range to be memorable. Our trekking guide Bishal Kulung Rai and porter Subash were the perfect team and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have their own experience trekking throughout the Annapurna Range and surrounding regions of Nepal. Namaste šŸ™šŸ» PS suggest you brush up on your card skills, Bishal is a bit of card shark, he has a very good memory 😁

Amazing ā€˜Taste if Nepal’ trip

April 2019, Tripadvisor

We booked our trip and were pleased that Mr Rajan was able to provide the exact dates we asked for. Every detail was taken care of from the moment we booked. Our guide Bharat was wonderful and so patient as we slowly made our way up each incline, encouraging us all the way to the top. Accomodation, meals, sights were all perfect. I will use this company for my next visit and highly recommend to anyone visiting Nepal.

Mount Kailash and Guge Kingdom

August 2018, Tripadvisor

I did my second trip to Mount Kailash with Earthbound Expeditions this time with the Guge Kingdom and as per my first trip, this was an excellent one too. In my opinion, Earthbound Expeditions are the masters in their field and if you're thinking of booking with then, don't think, just do it. You will not be disappointed by this friendly and professional company. Thanks, Jasmin.

Amazing Trek - Amazing Company!

November 2018, Tripadvisor

It was our fourth trek with Earthbound Expectations and, as always, we had an experience that was in the stratosphere in terms of excellent staff, planning, and price - not to mention the unparalleled beauty of Nepal!! We were asked for business cards of Earthbound numerous times from fellow trekkers because they saw how knowledgeable our guide and porter were and how well-planned our entire trip was! We arrived at base camp on a gorgeous, sunny morning. Our guide knew cloudy weather was coming in and our entire trip was planned on that arrival day. We got the photos of a lifetime (once again) while others were not as fortunate. We also spent four nights and five days in Bhutan - again all arranged flawlessly by Earthbound at an unbelievable bargain - at the conclusion of our trek before returning home to the U.S. We are returning for a fifth trek with Earthbound in two years. In short, Earthbound Expeditions is unparalleled in the trekking company world!!
