Ancient Buddhist sites in Sri Lanka include Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Panduwasnuwara and Yapahuwa. These places contain the remains of a civilisation that developed over centuries under the influence of Buddhism, which is still preserved in Sri Lanka in its original form.

Traditional Sri Lankan food is spicy, so we advise you to try curries with caution. A wide range of vegetables, fruit, meat and seafood is available. Continental, Chinese, Indian and Japanese food is available in Colombo and other tourist areas. The local speciality is a basic curry made with coconut milk, sliced onion, green chillies, spices such as cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and saffron, and aromatic leaves.

Sri Lanka is one of the most scenic countries in the world. It is known for its tropical jungles, tea gardens, elephant orphanage, beaches and full calendar of festivals.

Best agency in Nepal

May 2024, Tripadvisor

I was lucky to choose this agency of the list of agencies in the Lonely Planet guide. I did the EBC hike, a tour to Pokhara and Chitwan, and a Tibet roadtrip through Earthbound Expeditions and everything was AMAZING. They are very professional, they have the best staff and Mr. Rajan is always caring and pendant on any needs. I highly recommend this agency for any tour in Nepal. You will have an amazing time!

We were connected to Arjun by a friend that had used his guide services for a few yoga retreats. Though we were just a small family, she said he would be very helpful. SHE WAS SO RIGHT!! My husband and I traveled with our 4 year old and it was incredible to have a person at the airport to whisk us away to our pre-arranged hotel (which was wonderful!!) Rajan was our guide for the day in Kathmandu and he was great. He really listened to what we thought our 4 year old could handle with sight seeing and gave such great history and background. He was quick to pivot and let us take the longer walk back to the hotel in the afternoon and found a lovely lunch spot for us on the way. It was a perfect city day. Arjun tapped back in for our flight to Pokhara and our hike portion of the trip. He arranged another amazing hotel for our night there and then we did our two day trek to Ghorepani. I can't say enough nice things about how easy going he was with us and all our snack breaks, he even carried our son for a while! We had one porter as well and our son hiked hand in hand with him for a long while as well. (he only had a normal sized backpack so it wasn't a giant load). All the food, lodging, and knowledge that was shared with us the entirety of our trip was beyond what we could have hoped for. The biggest take away was how incredibly stress free it was! For a international, hiking trip with a 4 year old-it was smooth sailing. We would hire them again and again in any country they operated in! 10/10 Don't think, just hire them and show up for an unforgettable time!

Nepal Thru Hike

January 2024, Tripadvisor

I feel fortunate to have thru-hiked across Nepal...Border to Border, from India to Tibet, China with Rajan and his team. I can't begin to thank them enough for the endless amount of advance route planning taken to ensure each day of our hike took us to unreached corners of Nepal, all while making our way, step by step, towards the Himalayas. Considering much of our route included trails I couldn't locate on any GPS app, we were still able to reach a nice rhythm each day, making the necessary distances while still having time to chat with locals and learn the history of each area. I was grateful as well that we were also able to enjoy relaxing and interesting town days in places like Tansen, Bandipur and Gorkha, each worthy of being a standalone destination. If you're a past thru-hiker, looking to "pound miles" and get Nepal checked off the list, this may not be the hike for you. But if you're considering returning to Nepal after hiking any of the classic treks, and falling in love with the people, culture diversity, scenery and teahouse "paced" trekking, this is a great hike to consider. Bonus too, it ideally should be done during the off season from December to February, a time when you'll have the trails to yourself. Magic Mike Thru Hiker - Pacific Crest Trail, Appalachian Trail, Continental Divide Trail, John Muir Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Ozark Highlands Trail, Everest Basecamp, Kanchenjunga Basecamp(s), Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Valley, Tamang Heritage Trek, Pikey Peak, Dudh Kunda, Upper Mustang

Best experience of India trip ever !

December 2023, Tripadvisor

We went on trip in Rajasthan arranged by Earthbound. This is my second experience with Earhbound and they have been consistent fantastic ! All bookings of hotels, flights and local guides were arranged by them . The guides came to airport to receive us and from then on , we were taken care by the guide and van driver for all our questions and needs !! The earthbound employee were so friendly and very helpful .. like family members ! We felt at ease and mainly concentrated on enjoying the sights and stays as we didn’t have worry about anything on the logistics (booking or taxi or even buying tickets at the counters of places to see !) My kids who grew up in USA felt so pampered in this trip that they didn’t want to return to USA !! I think that says it all .
